TRIPOD
Potential Hazards & Safety Risks: Because I will be filming on a boat (punt) it could potentially be knocked and fall in the water. It could be knocked when filming an interview on a busy street.
I will duck tape the tripods legs to the duck boards of the boat so that there is no chance of the Tripod falling in water with or without the camera secured to the top. Make sure I find a quiet-ish place to film so that no one knocks the tripod or put tape around the tripod so it is clearly shown that there is filming in progress which would be noticed by the public.
CAMERA
Potential Hazards & Safety Risks: It could potentially fall into the river whiles filming on a boat. The camera could get wet when filming in bad weather conditions. Could potentially be dropped due to weather conditions.
Example of safe working: Make sure that i am constantly holding the camera with the strap around my neck to prevent it falling in water; when not filming i will put the camera back in its case. Make sure i will carry an umbrella with me for unexpected rain to prevent the camera from water damage. Keep the camera strap around my neck in case dropped or continuously put camera away after filming.
LAPTOP
Potential Hazards & Safety Risks: When editing footage if the Laptops are bot carried with care they could be dropped. Any food or drink consumed around the Laptops could cause the computer to be damaged by water damage or getting food stuck in keyboard ect.
Example of safe working: I will insure that i carry the laptops correctly with care to prevent an accident. I will also make sure that i dont eat or drink around any electrical equipment that i will be using.
